Here are some common questions we get asked, and the answers.
Should I bring snacks. Lunch and water?
Hydration is a must and a snack is always a great idea to bring. If we are doing an all day session, bring lunch.
What do I need to bring?
All clients must bring their own helmet and mountain bike, they should wear adequate clothing to participate, close-toed shoes are a must. Cycle helmets should be checked by the wearer to ensure they meet the AS/NZS 2063 Cycle Helmet Safety Standard (sticker usually inside of helmet). Knee pads and other body protection, snacks and hydration are all recommended, a waterproof jacket if appropriate.
What if riders within a clinic are not as confident as others?
While we will endeavor to keep ability levels balanced that doesn't always happen, our priority is safety and customer experience and in those situations all clients will stick together as a group. We tailor our sessions to the clients anyway and so even 'matched ability' riders might have different skills and techniques to work on in a session. Coaching sessions should be a no pressure environment.
Are we able to catch a gondola uplift during the coaching clinic and can I rent bikes?
Coaching sessions and program costs do not include gondola passes or rental equipment, we have great connections with local bike shops and gondola day/multi-day passes can be purchased easily.
Will the clinic go ahead if it is raining?
So long as the weather conditions do not present any threat to ourselves or unreasonable damage to the trail, rides will happen in all weather conditions. It is recommended that all clients bring appropriate apparel to suit wet and cold weather conditions. Bertl Bikes reserves the right to cancel a session within 24 hours of the session start due to weather.
Am I able to get a refund as I am no longer available?
Things crop up, we understand, we have a refund policy that gives you upto 48 hours notice prior to the clinic starting to cancel and receive a refund excluding a processing fee of 15CHF. Terms and Conditions visible here.
